We need a little inspiration and any feel-good moment right now is worth holding onto right? The Building Designers Association of Australia (BDAA) is encouraging our building industry to join in the fun of International Building Designer Day.
On August 18, International Building Designer Day will be celebrated with the 2021 fitting theme – A new day, A new Design.
But you don’t have to hold your celebration on the exact date. Anytime within the month of August is still fitting.
The building industry worldwide will gather to live a “moment of design”. BDAA encourages our Australian workplaces to use this day as a reason to gather, talk design, and innovate.
If you’re always looking for an excuse to celebrate or share industry content across your social channels, add this to the list! Love the sounds of this, but wondering how you can become involved?
1. Open your workplace – create a formal or casual event either in person or online (depending on Covid restrictions), to connect with your clients or industry friends.
2. Share examples of your work – whether via social, at your live event, or in your local news, mark this day by sharing your latest or upcoming work.
3. Participate on social media – share innovative, surprising, or simply your favourite designs and use the hashtag #IBDD. Be sure to follow this hashtag to view content from other designers around the world.
The more we talk about, celebrate and share how our industry positively impacts the community around us the better!
