Ethics & Code of Conduct

This online course outlines the standards of conduct and professionalism expected for a range of building industry professionals, working, and practicing in Queensland. The course encompasses the Code of Conduct for Building Surveyors in Qld, Qld pool safety inspectors, Registered Professionals Engineers Queensland (RPEQ), Architects Australia (RAIA), Building Designers Queensland (BOAQ), Design Institute Australia (DIA) and Safe work Australia. Completing this course will give you information on how to achieve the standards required in the professionals roles within the building industry. An approved code of conduct applies to anyone who has a duty of care in the circumstances described in the code. In most cases, following an approved code of conduct would achieve compliance with those required under the Building Act 1975 in relation to the profession area. Like regulations and legislations, codes of conduct deal with particular issues and do not cover all hazards or risks which may arise.
